New York City Marathon 2026 Medal

The New York City Marathon 2026 medal was designed to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the iconic five‑borough course. It is a unique project that blends abstract art, sculptural form, and marathon symbolism. At the center of the medal is the characteristic Statue of Liberty torch motif, surrounded by details referencing the city skyline and the history of the race.

The medal serves as a tribute to the growth, resilience, and strength of the five boroughs over the past 50 years. Its unbroken circular form symbolizes the unity of New York City and the lasting connection the marathon has created and continues to foster among runners, residents, and the city’s culture. It is not just a finisher’s award — it is a sculptural interpretation of the history and spirit of the NYC Marathon.

The marathon will take place on November 1, 2026.
