Cape Town Marathon 2026: Start System
The Cape Town Marathon 2026 has presented a dual‑zone start and five participant waves designed to reduce congestion on the course and improve race flow. Runners are assigned to batches A–N based on previous results and then directed to the appropriate wave and start venue.
| Batch | Wave | Start Venue | Time |
|---|---|---|---|
| Wheelchair | Wheelchair | Stadium | 07:50 |
| Elite | Elite | Stadium | 08:00 |
| Age Group WC | Championships | Beach Rd | 08:05 |
| A–D | Wave 1 (Yellow) | Stadium | 08:10 |
| E–F | Wave 2 (Blue) | Beach Rd | 08:27 |
