Boston Marathon 2027: Qualifier Registration Week
Qualifier registration for the 2027 Boston Marathon will take place from September 14–18, 2026 within the B.A.A.’s online platform, Athletes’ Village. Applications will be accepted starting Monday, September 14 at 10:00 a.m. ET until Friday, September 18 at 5:00 p.m. ET. Registration is not first‑come, first‑served and is based solely on meeting the qualifying standards.
Any athlete who has achieved a currently valid Boston Marathon qualifying time for their respective age and gender may apply through Athletes’ Village. Achieving the qualifying standard provides the opportunity to submit an application but does not guarantee entry — if the field size is exceeded, the fastest athletes within each age group will be accepted.
The qualifying window for the 2027 Boston Marathon began on September 13, 2025. Qualifying times are based on official net time (chip time) and the athlete’s age on race day — April 19, 2027. Entry fees are non‑refundable, non‑transferable, and non‑deferrable, except for requests submitted through the B.A.A.’s pregnancy and postpartum deferment policy. Refunds are only available to those who purchased registration insurance.
