Boston Marathon 2027: Abbott World Marathon Majors Draw

Boston Marathon 2027 will take place on April 19, 2027 — entry is available through the Abbott World Marathon Majors draw. There are 150 spots available. To enter, runners needed at least four stars and had to register by August 19, 2026, 12:00 PM ET. The draw will be held on August 20, 2026.

The AbbottWMM draw process has been updated to make claiming and managing entries easier. All entries, results, and additional spots earned through Road to the Majors challenges are now handled directly in the Runner Portal. This is where runners can check eligibility, entry counts, and the status of active draws.

How the New AbbottWMM Draw Process Works

All draw entries are claimed in the Runner Portal. Additional entries earned through Road to the Majors are also claimed there. Entries must be claimed during the two‑week registration window. Eligibility, entry counts, and results are visible in the portal. Winners must accept or decline their spot. Unclaimed or declined entries return to the pool and are reassigned to new winners.

AbbottWMM Draws — Step‑by‑Step Guide

Log in to the Runner Portal. Select Race Draws from the main menu. In the Active Race Draws section you will see all open draws. If you are eligible, you can enter. If not, the portal will show the reason. Draw results appear in the portal. If selected, you must accept or decline your place. Entries earned through Road to the Majors are claimed in the Global Run Club section at the bottom of the page. Completed challenge results appear in the Completed Draw Results section.
