Tokyo Marathon 2027 — 40,000 Runners at the Start
Tokyo Marathon 2027 will welcome 40,000 runners, increasing the field from the previous 39,000. The race will take place on March 7, 2027.
Registration for the Tokyo Marathon 2027 opens on June 24. Charity runners participating in the RUN with HEART program will register first. There are 41 partner organizations to choose from, and 5,000 charity spots available. Each organization manages its own entry process, including minimum donation requirements and confirmation deadlines.

After the charity phase, additional entry methods will open, including the general lottery for runners who are not participating through charity. With the field expanded to 40,000 runners, more applicants will have a chance to secure a spot compared to previous editions.
