New York Road Runners (NYRR) have officially announced the participation of Eliud Kipchoge and Sifan Hassan in the TCS New York City Marathon 2025, which will take place on November 2. Both, fresh off their start at the Sydney Marathon, are currently preparing for their debuts on the New York City Marathon course.
Kipchoge Aims to Complete His Seventh Abbott World Marathon Majors Marathon
Kipchoge, a 40-year-old Kenyan runner, is an 11-time Abbott World Marathon Majors winner with victories including Berlin, Tokyo, London, and Chicago. Completing the New York marathon will earn him the Six Star Medal, awarded to athletes who finish all six original major marathons (excluding Sydney): Tokyo, Boston, London, Berlin, Chicago, and New York.
