Sifan Hassan impressively improved the course record, outpacing Kenyan Kosgei and Ethiopian Gurmesa at the finish. The women’s competition was very tight, with the top three crossing the finish line in times under 2:23:00.

2. Tomoki Suzuki (Japan) – 1:33:29
