One of the world’s most iconic running events is fast approaching — the Chicago Marathon 2025. As in previous years, Nike has unveiled a collection that not only supports runners on the course but also celebrates the spirit of the city. It’s a fusion of performance, style, and local pride, visible in every detail.
Apparel Inspired by Chicago
At the heart of the collection is the official race singlet, inspired by Chicago’s public transit system.
The second standout piece in the collection is the Nike Element Half Zip — a lightweight long-sleeve top in a vibrant yellow color. On the chest, it features two emblems: the classic Nike logo and a circular marathon badge with the number “25” in the center, marking the anniversary edition. The quarter-length zipper allows for adjustable ventilation, and the fabric performs well during warm-ups as well as on cooler mornings.
On the back of the top, there’s a “Chicago 2025” print featuring a large letter “C” and four stars, referencing the city’s flag. It’s a subtle yet striking detail that makes the garment not only functional, but also collectible.

Chicago’s weather can be unpredictable, especially in October. That’s why Nike has designed lightweight, technical jackets that work well for early warm-ups as well as cooler moments before the race. The collection includes marathon-branded jackets available in both white and black versions. The Nike Vomero 18 is designed for runners aiming for a smooth and fast stride. With an increased stack height (46 mm at the heel, 36 mm at the forefoot), soft foam around the collar, and a dynamic rocker, each step feels more responsive. These shoes are made for marathon-level effort — from the very first kilometer to the final turn before the finish line.
Accessories with personality
The collection also includes stylish extras. The Nike Chicago Marathon 2025 Trucker Hat is a blue mesh cap featuring embroidered “Bank of America Chicago Marathon” text and a winged shoe graphic with the number “26.2.” A subtle Nike logo sits on the brim, and a decorative braided rope adds a retro touch. It’s a perfect choice for the expo, cheering on runners, or simply as a keepsake from the event.
