London 2025 Coin
The anniversary coin from the 45th edition of the London Marathon, although designed with ecology in mind (made from 100% recycled zinc), is smaller – 5 cm in diameter – and feels less refined in terms of details and material quality. Although the organizers emphasize its modern, eco-friendly character and solid workmanship, in direct comparison with the Berlin coin, it falls short – both in size and overall impression.
Summary
If you value unique marathon souvenirs, the Berlin coin is a clear winner in every respect: it’s bigger, heavier, and better made. The London coin, despite its interesting ecological approach, simply doesn’t match the Berlin coin in terms of prestige and detail.
