London Marathon 2027: Ballot
The ballot for the TCS London Marathon 2027 will open on 24 April at 09:00 (BST) and remain open until 1 May at 16:00. Everyone who enters during this period has the same chance of securing a place, as participants are selected through a completely random draw. Results will be sent by email in early July.
Organisers are considering a one‑off two‑day format for the 2027 edition. If approved, a single ballot entry will cover both Saturday and Sunday, increasing the number of available places and improving the overall chances of being selected.
Entry fees for successful applicants
If you receive a positive ballot result, you will need to pay the entry fee:
- UK: £79.99
- International runners: £225 (including a carbon offset fee related to travel)
Once your place is confirmed, the next step is preparing for the marathon. Official training plans are available, along with personalised programmes in training apps that help structure your workload and get you ready for race day in London.
