Sydney Marathon 2026 Results<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Sydney once again became a focal point for the global running community. At sunrise, thousands of runners set off on a route passing the city\u2019s most iconic locations, finishing at the famous Opera House. The second edition held under Abbott World Marathon Majors status delivered a highly competitive elite field.<\/p>\n

In the men\u2019s race, Addisu Gobena delivered an outstanding performance, winning in 2:04:42 and setting a new course record. The Ethiopian athlete finished four seconds ahead of Chimdessa Debele Gudeta, with the entire lead group running under 2:05.<\/p>\n
