Chicago Marathon 2025 Results<\/strong><\/h2>\n

This year’s edition of the Bank of America Chicago Marathon, held on October 12, 2025, was an unprecedented event. A total of 54,351 runners crossed the finish line, setting a new attendance record for the event. For comparison, the previous year saw 52,062 finishers. This is a testament to the growing popularity of street running and the exceptional reputation of the Chicago Marathon.<\/p>\n

The weather conditions were conducive to records \u2013 cool air, no wind, and a flat course created ideal circumstances for fast running. As a result, we witnessed record-breaking results among the elite.<\/p>\n

Men’s Elite: Kiplimo and Mantz in a Historic Race<\/strong><\/h4>\n

The winner of the men’s race was Jacob Kiplimo of Uganda, who achieved a phenomenal time of 2:02:23. This is one of the fastest results in the history of the marathon and a new national record for Uganda. Kiplimo led from the halfway point, maintaining a pace below 2:55 min\/km for most of the course. He was followed by Amos Kipruto (2:03:54) and Alex Masai (2:04:33), both from Kenya.<\/p>\n

Finishing in fourth place was Conner Mantz of the USA, who set a new United States record \u2013 2:04:43. His performance was perfectly planned, with an even pace and a strong finish. The previous US record belonged to Khalid Khannouchi (2:05:38) and had stood for over 20 years. Mantz showed that American marathoning is back at the world’s forefront.<\/p>\n

Women’s Elite: Feysa with a Dominant Performance and a Personal Best<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Among the women, Hawi Feysa Gejia of Ethiopia triumphed, achieving a time of 2:14:57. This is one of the fastest women’s results in history and a testament to the athlete’s excellent preparation.<\/p>\n

Second place went to Megertu Alemu (2:15:31), also from Ethiopia, and third to Magdalena Shauri of Tanzania (2:18:03). Fourth was marathon debutant Loice Chemnung of Kenya (2:18:23).<\/p>\n

Excellent results were also achieved in the wheelchair competition. Among the men, Marcel Hug of Switzerland won with a time of 1:23:20, ahead of David Weir (1:27:26) and Tomoki Suzuki (1:27:29).<\/p>\n
