After covering 134 km in them, including a single longest run of 25 km, I can share my detailed impressions. While these shoes have many advantages, they are not without flaws that may affect their performance in specific conditions.

Advantages of Saucony Endorphin Pro 3

1. Lightweight and Dynamic

One of the greatest strengths of this model is its exceptional lightness. The shoes weigh only about 204 g (for men’s size 42.5), making them one of the lightest in their category. This ensures that the foot feels unburdened, and every step feels natural and dynamic. These are ideal for runners looking to improve their times in races or speed training.

2. Good Cushioning and Stability

Saucony has incorporated PWRRUN PB foam into this model, which provides excellent cushioning. This foam is not only lightweight but also highly responsive, making every step soft yet dynamic. The shoe’s stability is also commendable—even during longer runs, the foot remains well-supported.

3. Carbon Fiber Sole and SpeedRoll Technology

The integrated carbon fiber plate and SpeedRoll technology support the natural rolling motion of the foot and add energy to every stride, enhancing running efficiency.

4. Durability and Breathability

The shoe’s upper is made from lightweight mesh that ensures excellent breathability even during intense workouts in warmer weather. Additionally, the materials used in the shoe’s construction are durable and hold up well over long distances and repeated use.

Disadvantages of Saucony Endorphin Pro 3

1. Narrow Toe Box

One of the major drawbacks of this model is its relatively narrow design in the toe area. Runners with wider feet may experience discomfort during longer runs, especially as their feet naturally swell.

2. Slippery Sole on Wet Surfaces

Unfortunately, the sole’s grip leaves much to be desired on wet surfaces. Running in rain or on wet asphalt can be problematic—the sole tends to slip, affecting running comfort.

3. Reduced Speed on Wet Asphalt

In addition to grip issues, I also noticed a decrease in running dynamics on wet surfaces. SpeedRoll technology works best on dry terrain, but its efficiency drops significantly on wet asphalt.

Summary: Who Are Saucony Endorphin Pro 3 For?

The Saucony Endorphin Pro 3 is primarily designed for runners focused on speed and comfort during training or races on dry surfaces. Thanks to its lightweight design, advanced SpeedRoll technology, and excellent cushioning, it can be a great choice for those seeking high-performance race or training shoes. However, its limitations regarding traction make it less suitable for running in rainy conditions or on wet surfaces. Runners with wider feet should also carefully consider purchasing this model due to its narrow toe box.

Final Ratings:

• Comfort: 7/10
• Cushioning: 8/10
• Dynamics: 9/10
• Grip: 5/10
• Durability: 8/10

The Saucony Endorphin Pro 3 is an excellent choice for runners looking for lightweight and dynamic shoes for fast runs on dry asphalt. However, if you frequently train in rainy conditions or have wide feet, it might be worth considering other models tailored to these needs.

Want to know my thoughts on other models?

Check out the section called Running Shoe Reviews, where I regularly publish detailed evaluations of running shoes.

Saucony Endorphin Pro 3 are shoes designed for fast running.
