\n1. Notifications for Selected Participants:
\n– The first notifications for those who are selected will be sent shortly after 6:00 AM.
\n– The notification process will continue throughout the day \u2013 some participants may receive their notification as late as the afternoon or evening.
\n– If someone announces they\u2019ve been selected at 7:00 AM and you haven\u2019t heard anything by 4:00 PM, you still have a chance to be selected.<\/p>\n
\n– If you are not selected, you will receive a notification only after the entire lottery process has concluded.<\/p>\n
\n– After the open lottery concludes, there will be an additional drawing for NYRR members.
\n– Important: If you are chosen in this round, you will not automatically be registered for the marathon. You\u2019ll receive a special code within a week and must register and pay on the NYRR website by March 31.

\nThere are several ways to find out if you\u2019ve been selected for the marathon. Typically, the information appears in the following order (though it may vary):<\/p>\n
\n– If you notice a charge of $255 (for NYRR members) or $315 (for non-members), this means you\u2019ve been selected.<\/p>\n
\n– Your status will change to \u201cAccepted.\u201d<\/p>\n
\n– You\u2019ll receive an email informing you that you\u2019ve been selected.<\/p>\n
\n– Congratulations! You can now start preparing for one of the most prestigious marathons in the world.
\n– Make sure all formalities (e.g., registration and payment) are completed on time.<\/p>\n
\n– Don\u2019t give up! You can try again next year or explore other ways to secure a spot in the marathon (e.g., through charity programs).<\/p>\n
