Sydney Marathon 2025 – Start Schedule
In the Sydney Marathon 2025, runners have been assigned to three start zones, marked with the colors: RED, GREEN, and ORANGE. This system helps distribute the number of participants evenly across the start line and makes the overall organization of the event easier.
In the prepared start schedule table, you will find detailed information for each start group:
• the start wave number, indicating the order in which the race begins,
• the color and name of the zone ready for use on the event grounds,
• the meeting point for the group — for example, Victoria Cross or Crows Nest,
• the recommended arrival time, which helps avoid last-minute rushing,
• the time to enter the start zone area, where volunteers and organizers are waiting,
• the expected actual start time, which may be flexible but provides a general reference.
Description of start zones:
• RED – the first start wave, whose runners gather near Victoria Cross. This zone is the earliest and is designated for those starting the race first.
• GREEN – a zone starting from a different location, Crows Nest, with the option of arriving by train and metro. This group starts slightly later than RED.
• ORANGE – a group also starting at Victoria Cross but with a delayed start — after the RED group.
